Jude Onwudili

Biography
Dr Onwudili started his research career at the University of Leeds and, in 2015, he joined Aston University where he is currently a Reader in Chemical Engineering. He is an expert in thermochemical and thermocatalytic (hydrothermal, pyrolysis and gasification) processing of biomass, plastics, algae and municipal solid wastes for the production of sustainable fuels, chemicals and materials.
Dr Onwudili has recently been leading several externally funded research projects on processing of biomass and bio-derived feedstocks for the production of liquid and gaseous biofuels at Aston’s Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI). He focuses on both fundamental and applied research, with a strong emphasis on industry-led market-driven projects to provide access to clean and affordable bioenergy around the world, with projects in UK, Europe, Africa, China and South-East Asia. Dr Onwudili has published over 100 academic papers with over 5000 citations and an h-index of 40. He is a Fellow of the ÀË»¨Ö±²¥.
