Biography
I am a senior process improvement consultant and project manager, specialising in people and process (now with more emphasis on people and culture but with a background in production chemistry and process optimisation). I am a Chartered Chemist and Cambridge graduate with 15+ years of industry experience (oil and gas production and lean manufacturing) across the UK and NZ. My strength lies in leading process improvement projects to address process bottlenecks, in both physical plant and business processes.
Previous clients describe me as an excellent bridge between the board and the boots on the ground so I can "make things happen". I'm an independent self-starter, able to work remotely across time zones, highly organised and able to adapt between project management methodologies.
I have a strong delivery background having worked on cross-functional projects across various industries and business areas. Some successes are: increasing machine utilisation by 20%, reducing run fails by 30%, increasing yield by 15% and relieving a capacity constraint to open up a 17% increase in throughput.
My approach is a blend of data-driven analysis and coaching. My personal interest area is developing people, organisational capability and culture. I’m an advocate for diversity and inclusion.
