Biography
I am the Head of Biocides (Europe) and a Principal Scientist within Exponent International Ltd’s Health Sciences Centre for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety. I have extensive regulatory and research chemistry experience obtained from working in contract research and consultancy, within residue chemistry and regulatory affairs (focusing primarily on biocides), for over 25 years.
In terms of biocides legislative success, several biocidal product active substances on which I have worked (including one of the first new biocide active substances) have received approval under the Biocidal Products Regulation (Regulation (EU) 528/2012). Numerous biocidal product dossiers, including Biocidal Product Families have received authorisation throughout Europe.
Prior to joining Exponent, I was routinely involved in performing exposure and risk assessments for biocides, industrial chemicals, plant protection products and pharmaceuticals, and was actively involved in the technical aspects of REACH, in addition to working on biocide and plant protection dossiers.
