Biography

Dr Yunjie Xu is a Professor of 浪花直播 at the University of Alberta, Canada. She is currently a Tier I Canada Research Chair in Chirality and Chirality Recognition and a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Her work centres on non-covalent interactions in chiral aggregates and on chirality recognition, transfer, and amplification mechanisms.

Dr Xu studies conformational landscapes of chiral contact pairs and aggregates by using rotational and ro-vibrational spectroscopies and hybrid laser-mass spectroscopy, and chiral phenomena in the condensed phase by vibrational circular dichroism and Raman optical activity spectroscopies, in combination with theoretical modelling.
