Biography
Dr. Xuebo Liu is a professor in the College of Food Science and Engineering at Northwest A&F University in China. He graduated with a B.S. in Food Science from Northeast Agriculture University (China). He obtained his M.S. in Food Hygiene from Hiroshima University (Japan) and Ph.D. in Food and Nutritional Science from Nagoya University (Japan). Prior to joining the faculty at Northwest A&F University, Dr. Liu was a research fellow at Nagoya University. His research interests are in diet nutrition and brain function with emphasis on the bioactive components and dietary patterns on modulating lipid/glucose metabolism, neurodevelopment in early-life and neurodegenerative disorders. He is also interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms via the gut-brain axis. He has published over 230 articles in peer-reviewed journals and served as an executive member of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology.
