Biography
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved at the age of 11 to Los Angeles, California. I received a B.Sc. in ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ from CSU Dominguez Hills in 2001, and a Ph.D. from the Department of ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ & Biochemistry at UCLA in 2006 under the tutelage of Miguel A. Garcia-Garibay and K. N. Houk. After my graduate studies in Physical Organic ÀË»¨Ö±²¥, I switched to Polymer ÀË»¨Ö±²¥, working in the laboratory of Craig J. Hawker at the Materials Research Laboratory. At Columbia, my group’s research interests lie in the fundamentals of Physical Macromolecular ÀË»¨Ö±²¥, with interests in polymer synthesis, self-assembly, and organic electronic materials.
