Biography
Kevin Jones is a Distinguished Professor at Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC), Lancaster University, UK. He was awarded his PhD from London University in 1984. He has been based at Lancaster for over 30 years, where his specialist research area concerns the sources, fates, behaviours and effects of organic contaminants in the environment. This includes extensive international collaborations and links with businesses and industries. He was appointed Director of LEC, helping to establish it as one of the largest multi-disciplinary environment centres in Europe. He received the American Chemical Society award for Creative Advances in Environmental Science and Technology (2020) and international cooperation with Guangdong Province, China in 2021. As part of his role with Environmental Science: Advances, Kevin serves as an Associate Editor handling manuscripts submitted for publication.
