Biography
Jonathan Benskin is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Science (ACES) at Stockholm University. His research focuses on the development and application of novel analytical tools for measuring emerging contaminants. Fluorine mass balance and high-resolution mass spectrometry-based suspect and non-target screening are areas of particular interest. Following completion of a BSc in chemistry (University of Victoria, 2005) and a PhD in medical sciences (University of Alberta, 2010). Jon went on to work as an NSERC Industrial Research and Development Fellow and then Principle Scientist in Industry before returning to the academic world in 2014. He currently serves as Head of the Contaminant ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ Unit at ACES.
