Biography
I am a chemist who went via the part-time route while working in HEI for over 40 plus years and now back in private sector working as a STEM Coach and Mentor and this includes doing mentoring for the RSC's Careers Service with 2 pgs in African nations. I am a member of the Chemical Consultants Group Committee and also in the Management Interest group and have secured 2 speakers for events that the group ran.
I have experience in areas of Risk Assessment, COSHH and DSEAR and dealt with issues when worked at Loughborough University regarding incidents with students who failed in the compliance aspects of their lab work. I provide expert advice on how chemists and others in STEM field can pivot in their careers and provider of those services as Coach of Excellence with CPDSO, number CE33044.
I have also acted as a Mentor for a joint RSC/Brightside Trust and more recently for RSC/Windsor Fellowship and provided mentorship in ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ to A level students and also took part in an event at Burlington House outlining my journey as a Chemist over a 40-year timeline and was featured in the Directory in the past as Julie Franklin was involved getting my details into it.
