Biography
Andrea Rentmeister is a Professor at the Department of ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ of the University of Münster. She studied ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ at the Technical University of Graz and the University of Bonn, where she earned her PhD in 2007. After a postdoctoral stay at the California Institute of Technology, she started her independent career as a Junior Professor at the University of Hamburg in 2010. In 2013, Andrea was appointed as Associate Professor at the University of Münster, and in 2020 promoted to Full Professor.
Research in her lab focuses on RNA at the interface of chemistry and biochemistry and aims to understand and ultimately control the processes affecting mRNA expression and turnover. Andrea has won a number of awards and serves on several advisory and executive boards.
