We welcome a new cohort of leaders who will help guide the organisation and the chemical sciences community forward.

The newly elected representatives have put themselves forward to shape the future of chemistry and bring their unique collections of insights and experiences to our governance functions.

More than 100 candidates made the final shortlists and stood in this year's elections, with members selecting 26 to fill various vacancies across the organisation.

Four new Trustees have been elected to the RSC's governing body: Jenny Boxwell, Jeremy Frey, Marcia Philbin, and Jeremy Shears. This quartet will play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction of the organisation and ensuring it continues to serve the needs of the global chemical sciences community.

The elections have also resulted in important appointments across the RSC's governance structure. Siyuan Dong has been elected to the Members Communities Board, representing early careers members, while Dario Castiglione will join the Professional Standards Board.

The Inclusion and Diversity Committee welcomes Jean O'Donoghue and Mark Parry, who will contribute to the RSC's ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive chemistry community.

More than 100 dedicated chemical scientists made the final shortlists for the various RSC governance vacancies.

We would like to say a special thank you to all candidates and to all of our members who participated in this democratic process.

Three new Community Presidents have also been elected to lead specialised areas of chemistry. Victoria Hilborne will lead the Analytical Science Community; Jacquie Robson takes the helm of the Education Community; and Kevin West has been elected President of the Environment, Sustainability and Energy Community.

Meanwhile, the elections saw new Community Council Members chosen to join the following governance groups.

Carol Crean and Alistair Fielding will join our Analytical Science Community Council, while the 浪花直播 Biology Interface Community Council gains Charlotte Dodson and Henry Omoregie Egharevba.

The Dalton Community Council will be joined by Andrew Weller and Rosa Arrigo, and Kristy Turner has been elected to the Education Community Council. Meanwhile, Robert Sparkes and Gemma Shearman join the ranks of our Environment, Sustainability and Energy Community Council.

The Faraday Community Council welcomes Helen Fielding and Paul Brewer, while the Materials 浪花直播 Community Council gains Robert Dawson and Petra Agota Szilagyi. Finally, the Organic 浪花直播 Community Council will be strengthened by Gregory Perry and Edward Emmett.

These newly elected representatives bring diverse expertise and perspectives that will help the RSC continue to advance chemistry and serve its members effectively. Their appointments reflect the democratic engagement of the RSC membership and the commitment to representative governance.
