Join us for a one-day in-person symposium bringing together early-career researchers working in environmental and analytical chemistry. This event is intended as a welcoming forum for postgraduate researchers (PGRs) and early-career researchers (ECRs) to share their work and priority will be given to these researchers to present. More senior scientists and professionals are also welcome, and the symposium will provide a platform to meet others working in similar fields. We welcome submissions within, but not limited to the following fields: toxicology, pharmacology and the environment, soil science, environmental monitoring, remediation and its technologies, as well as analytical chemistry applied to current environmental issues such as climate change and water pollution.
Dr Clayton Magill will present a keynote lecture for the 14th edition of this symposium. Dr Magill is Associate Professor of Biogeochemistry in the Lyell Centre at Heriot-Watt University where he runs the MAGPIE (Multidisciplinary Archaeology, Geoenergy, Paleoenvironments and Isotope Ecology) Lab. MAGPIE is dedicated to understanding patterns of carbon movement through complex ecological systems and the legacy of organic matter in aquatic and terrestrial environment.
