Scottish Dalton and USIC (Universities of Scotland Inorganic 浪花直播) are combining forces this year to bring you a two-day event showcasing early career talent across the Scottish Inorganic Community. The event will be held at the University of Strathclyde on 28-29th August 2025.
In line with the early career focus, and traditional nature of USIC, the meeting will offer PhD students and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to present their work in the form of research talks and/or posters. Importantly, PhD students will be prioritised for oral presentations. There will also be invited lectures from: Prof. Claire Carmalt (UCL), recipient of the prestigious RSC 2024 Tilden Prize; Prof. Eva Hevia (Bern, Switzerland) recipient of several early and mid-career prizes and recently the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award; and Dr Andrew Jupp (Birmingham) winner of 2024 Dalton Early Career Prize.
Registration fee for the event includes lunch, tea & coffee for both days, a dinner and a Ceilidh on the night of the 28th, providing an excellent opportunity for networking, fostering new collaborations, and enjoying the company of fellow inorganic chemistry enthusiasts.
